Guild Charter
A short charter on how to behave in the halls of Howl of Eternity, and what to expect from this guild, and what not to.
Welcome, adventurer. This charter is not long and carries no unnecessary wax seals: the chroniclers' guild believes in clarity. By entering these halls, meaning by continuing to use the website, you agree to the rules below.
What this website is
Howl of Eternity is an original Czech fantasy RPG system and a play aid for that system: a tabletop role-playing game inspired by the tradition of classic tabletop RPGs. It is an unofficial project and is not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast or the Dungeons & Dragons brand. All rules, world content, names, and mechanics are original content of the Howl of Eternity project unless stated otherwise.
Free use, no warranty
The website is provided AS IS. The operator tries to keep it running on a best-effort basis, but provides no warranty of availability, performance, or preservation of game data. No SLA. If the server is down, restarts, or a session disappears, you are not entitled to compensation.
Your responsibility
- When creating a game, you enter any nickname you like. Do not use your real name unless you want to.
- Content you enter into a session, such as chat, character names, and descriptions, is your responsibility. The operator is not responsible for user sessions.
- Do not use the website for spam, attacks on infrastructure, hosting illegal content, or harassing other players.
Operator authority
The operator may at any time and without compensation:
- end any session in case of abuse,
- block an IP address that overloads or attacks the website,
- restart the server (active sessions are restored from snapshots, but restoration failure cannot be ruled out),
- change or completely shut down the website.
Intellectual property
The rules, mechanics, and lore of Howl of Eternity are original content and are provided free for non-commercial use by players and Game Masters. Commercial use, including sale or monetization, is not allowed without the author's consent.

Data handling is described in the Seal of Confidence (privacy policy).
