Ulvenor's first biological weapon
Ulvenor's first biological weapon was used under Untred IV. against the eastern nomads. The Emperor had the captured nomad marauders released, but first secretly infected them with an artificially created disease from an Eastern university laboratory. The disease was to disintegrate the enemy's army from within and prepare the ground for the later conquest of the East.
Eastern Nomads' Requirement
In 1460, an eastern army composed mainly of nomads attacked the empire. They demanded the release of captured nomadic raiders captured by the Crown Stewards in the east and southeast. Untred IV. decided to grant their request, but his agreement was only the surface of a much darker plan.
A disease from a university laboratory
In one of the eastern universities, there had been a secret laboratory for some time that used magic to create various viruses and diseases. The released prisoners were secretly infected with a disease, the effect of which was supposed to show itself only after a certain time. Untred knew that only he had the cure. The aim was for the disease to spread among the enemy army and destroy it from within before a direct encounter.
The moral limits of empire
The plan was successful and the nomadic army was hit hard by the disease. Untred wanted to send an expedition later to finish off the rest of the wild nomads, but he planned to wait until the disease was gone and threatened his own army. The emperor did not live to see this expedition. When he died of rapid paralysis shortly thereafter, many interpreted this as a price for using such a weapon. The event became one of the darkest points in the empire's late history.
