The first war of kings

The First War of Kings was the first major international conflict in which Magnursia stood as a true kingdom. The war with Trabazar showed that the new state was not only a growing regional entity, but a power that the surrounding world could no longer ignore.

Trade rise as a cause of war

During the reign of Otto II. Magnursia began to grow rich faster than most neighboring human states. Her commercial importance grew and with it the nervousness of her rivals. Trabazar understood that if Magnursia's growth did not stop, its position in the center of the continent would become stronger and stronger. The war thus began as an attempt to stop the commercial-political rise of a rival.

Defense of Magnursia

Although the conflict did not end in a clear victory for one side, it was a major success for Magnursia. As an attacked state, it withstood the long pressure and did not collapse. This is what Otto II. registered as Defender. The kingdom did not win the war easily, but it survived the historical test.

The beginnings of military innovation

During the war, new tactics emerged, improved handling of both cavalry and defensive formations, and overall changed the way human states thought about the long conflict. The First War of the Kings is thus not only important as a war event, but also as the beginning of a wider military transformation.
