The establishment of the Free City of Hirch

Age of the First Empires urban transformation 2 500 BIC

Hirch was transformed from an original kobold city into one of the most important centers of trade and culture thanks to the rule of the kobold Hatura. His vision of an open city attracted different nations and created a unique space for coexistence.

The Rise of Hatura

Hatur was one of the most prominent kobolds of his time. As a juggernaut, he excelled not only in strength, but also in discipline and longevity, which many attributed to his mastery of the technique. He was never defeated in a duel and gradually worked his way up to the position of deputy in the city of Hirch. His reign marked the beginning of a fundamental transformation of the city.

The transformation of the city

Hatur saw Hirch not only as a fortress, but as a center that could attract different cultures and peoples. He had several temples built and opened the city to various religious groups. In doing so, he created an environment that was extraordinarily open for its time. Hirch gradually became a place of meeting, trade and exchange of ideas.

Free city

On the occasion of its 400th anniversary, Hatur had the city renamed the Free City. This name was not just a symbol, but an expression of his vision. Hirch was supposed to be a place where different peoples could exist side by side without having to be subservient to one power. Although it was more of an ideal than a full reality, the city maintained this reputation for many centuries.

Long reign and legacy

Hatur ruled long and stably. He died at the age of 571, making him one of the longest-lived notables of his race. His name became part of legends and songs. For kobolds, he represents the ideal of strength, discipline and wisdom. Thanks to him, Hirch survived as an important center in other periods as well, although its history was later marked by wars and conquests.
