Restoration of the kingdom under Ferdinand I.
Ferdinand I took over the country after the fall of the tyrant and was able to return it to order, security and economic recovery. His government combined the victory over the external threat with the practical improvement of everyday life.
Defeat of the Black Army
The goblin threat came at a time when the country was not yet fully stabilized after an internal coup. However, Ferdinand was able to stop the opponent and break his main force. In doing so, he immediately gained the legitimacy of a ruler who not only inherited the crown, but actually stole it.
Agrarian reform
Ferdinand did not just restore the state with the sword. He introduced changes in agriculture that increased yields and improved the lives of the poorer classes. This distinguished his reign from a simple military victory. The kingdom began to function again not only as a defensive unit, but also as a place of ordinary life.
Restoration after tyranny and stabilization of the kingdom
It is the combination of security and economic stabilization that makes Ferdinand's reign the beginning of a real recovery after the tyranny of Magnus IV. The state regained confidence that the crown could be strong without being pernicious.
