Jack came from a minor noble family and his status did not guarantee him any specialness. What set him apart was his ability to understand magic to a depth unheard of in his time. He gradually developed into the most powerful mage of his generation and became a key figure in King Leo II's military strategy.

During the siege of the capital Borundaru, the situation seemed hopeless. Two failed attacks showed that classical military force is not enough. At this point Jack intervened. He created a huge storm, crippling the defenders, and then summoned a shower of meteors that almost leveled the city. It was an act of magic like no other.

Magic takes the energy of its user. In Jack's case, the price was extreme. His body was completely exhausted and aged by decades in an instant. When he was found, he was almost unrecognizable. He died shortly after his greatest deed, becoming a legend that transcends realms.
