Lich from the North Gate
The Lich of the North Gate is a mysterious being first reported by frightened dwarves during the reign of Untred V. According to them, a leader of the dead began to appear at the north gate, threatening the security of the area. The emperor sent ten mages and ten best knights, but the entire expedition disappeared without a trace. The Lich thus belongs to the greatest unknown threats of contemporary Ulvenor.
News from the dwarves
The first reports of the Lich came from the dwarves who claimed that the North Gate was no longer safe. Their fright was alarming in itself, for dwarves are not a nation that panics easily. They described a being capable of leading the dead and threatening an area in a way that was beyond normal wars with goblins, kobolds, or nomads.
Expedition of twenty
Untred V. did not take the threat lightly. He sent ten brave mages and ten of the best knights to volunteer for the expedition against the Lich. This group was to find out the truth, stop the threat and confirm that the Empire can face an unknown evil. Instead, there was never a reliable report of her again.
Secrets of the Modern Empire
The disappearance of the entire set made the Lich one of the scariest characters of the present. It is unclear whether the twenty fell, were captured, altered, or encountered a force that cannot be comprehended by normal means. Lich from the North Gate thus stands on the border of history and legend. Its existence could be the beginning of a new disaster, or just the first glimmer of a much older danger.
