Onyx

The first leader of the Great Wandering Pioneer of the Great Plains He who passed through the west Age of the First Empires

Onix was a legendary centaur who led the first great migration of his people from the Yellow Plains to the west. His actions opened the way for the centaurs to a new home, but also to an endless conflict with the kobolds.

The birth of a leader

Onix was born not as a ruler, but as a warrior who was able to survive when the centaurs first faced scarcity and chaos. During the climate crisis, he became one of those who refused to wait for the end and decided to look for new territory. His strength wasn't just physical. He was able to convince the other tribes to follow him into the unknown.

The Legend of the Hundred

The most famous moment of his life happened during his passage through human territory. According to legend, he faced off against a hundred human warriors alone. Onix beat them all. This act was not only a display of strength, but also a symbol of the indomitability of the centaurs. The local king, impressed by his abilities, granted him free passage further west. This made Onix the first to open a path to the Great Plains.

First in the west

Onix led his tribe as the first centaur in the Great Plains. It was a new beginning for his people—a space that matched their nature. However, it soon became clear that this space was not empty. Kobolds have lived here for generations and refused to retreat. Onix thus stood not only at the birth of a new home, but also at the beginning of a war that continues to this day.

Fall and legacy

Onix fell in one of the first encounters with the kobolds when he was defeated by the juggernaut Hatur. His death was a heavy blow to the centaurs. Yet his legacy lives on. He showed that centaurs can leave their past behind and create their own future. To this day, he is considered a symbol of courage and the first true leader of his nation.
