Magnursie — The First Kings

Magnursie — The First Kings

Kingdom of Magnursia 903–693 BIC the beginnings of the state first dynasty

The period of the First Kings represents the very beginning of the Magnur state formation. It was during these centuries that the tribal world of humans in the center of Ulvenor became an organized kingdom with a hereditary dynasty, a feudal structure, and the first stable rules of governance. This period is less flamboyant than the later golden eras, but without it Magnursia would never have come into being, let alone the future empire.

Magnursie — Silk Kings

Magnursie — Silk Kings

Kingdom of Magnursia 693–253 BIC golden pre-magical age economic boom

The era of the Silk Kings was the period of the greatest economic, legal and cultural rise of pre-magical Magnursia. The kingdom grew rich, professionalized the military, created codes, banks, trade alliances, and became the most important human state of central Ulvenor. At the same time, the first serious cracks appeared, which eventually led to its bloody end.

Magnursie — Kings of Magic

Magnursie — Kings of Magic

Kingdom of Magnursia 253–2 BIC magical age the emergence of battle mages

The Magic Kings represent the period in which Magnursia transformed from a wealthy kingdom into an aggressive and military-magical power. The rulers of this era institutionalized magic, used it for war, built intelligence networks, transformed the military, and gradually plunged the continent into the Great War. It is an epoch where the old order ends and a new one is born in fire, blood and magic.

Magnursia — The turning point of the kingdom and the empire

Transition from the Kingdom of Magnursia to the Empire of Magnursar BIC – 42 IC the rise of the empire Leo II

This period is quite exceptional, because in it the old Magnursia ceased to be a mere kingdom and turned into an imperial entity. The main character is Leo II. A conqueror who, after the Luna River disaster, not only turned the military situation around, but rewrote the very way time was counted, territory was managed, and power was understood.

Magnursia — Early Emperors

Magnursia — Early Emperors

The Magnursar Empire 42–296 IC the first imperial stabilization end of the Great War

The early emperors represent the first generation of rulers who no longer just held the conquered territory, but had to prove that the empire was able to survive without its founder. Magnus VI The Cruel Protector and Martin I the Merciful led the empire through troubled borders, clan tensions and the final phase of the Great War to its conclusion.

Magnursie — The First Decline of the Empire

Magnursie — The First Decline of the Empire

The Magnursar Empire 296–602 IC the first decline the end of the Magnurs

The First Decline of the Empire marks the long period in which the Magnursar Empire first learned that size alone does not guarantee stability. After the early imperial rise, the empire entered an age of failed expeditions, increasing pressure on the borders, wars with kobolds and mysticism, deteriorating relations with the elves, dynastic crises, and an increasingly powerful nobility. It was at this time that some institutions were created that were supposed to save the empire, but at the same time the families and tensions that later ended the rule of the Magnurs were born here.

Magnursie — House of Renders

Magnursie — House of Renders

The Magnursar Empire 602–922 IC the first imperial election the Render family

The era of House Render began after the massacre of the Magnurs and the first imperial election. It was a time when the empire had to learn to exist without a founding dynasty, relying on the election of magnates, administrative reforms, military reconstruction and stricter supervision of its own provinces. The Render saved the empire from immediate collapse, but their rule gradually created a system of suspicion, economic pressure, lost provinces, and clan coalitions that eventually swept them away.

Magnursie — House of Ariers

Magnursie — House of Ariers

The Magnursar Empire 922–1 023 IC family of Ariers Second Imperial Diet

The era of the Ariers family was short but extremely important. It began with the Second Imperial Assembly after the massacre of the Renders and represented an attempt to restore order after a long period of clan wars. The Ariers were able to temporarily stabilize the empire, unify some administrative and cultural elements and re-enforce the image of the imperial center. But their end came in two power wars, which showed that an elected dynasty without broad and lasting support could fall as quickly as it rose.

Magnursie — House of Youlenders

Magnursie — House of Youlenders

The Magnursar Empire 1 023–1 470 IC the Youlender family The Silver Era

The Youlender House Era is the longest late period of the Magnursar Empire. It began after the Third Imperial Diet and brought restoration after the Power Wars, the Silver Age, new legal and administrative reforms, a second Golden Age, but also dynastic crises, droughts, wars, counter-intelligence, late cultural self-reflection, and finally the current turmoil of 1470. The Youlenders managed to hold the empire longer than both the Renders and the Ariers, but their late reign shows a state that, while still standing, is far from unshakable.
