The peak of military power under Alfred I.

Magnursie — Kings of Magic military-organizational peak 79–27 BIC

Under Alfred I, Magnursia reached the height of its pre-imperial military effectiveness. Banners were transformed into an extremely powerful tool of campaign, magic was firmly integrated into army life, and the empire expanded its control over other kingdoms.

Support units

Alfred added groups of mages and healers to each banner, creating so-called Support Units. This created a new quality of troops that could last longer, recover faster and react more flexibly in a campaign. It was one of the most important steps in the development of the Magnura army.

Conquest of Waldoria and Lutharion

During Alfred's reign, other human kingdoms fell and the empire penetrated into other enemy territories. Both Waldoria and Lutharion became part of the Magnur realm, and Alfred's prestige skyrocketed. These campaigns created the image of a king who does not lose and whose name is a military weapon in itself.

The legendary victorious king

Alfred became a legend during his lifetime. Yet his end showed that even victorious greatness can destroy a person from within. The constant need to win broke him physically and mentally. His era thus represents not only the peak of military power, but also its human cost.
