The Second Power War was a large-scale conflict between Emperor Valendor II. and a rebel alliance led by House Youlender. The war ended with the fall of the emperor and the accession of John V.

Broken truce

After the First Power War, there was a fragile truce, but it did not last. Tensions between the families persisted and distrust of the emperor grew. The situation was exacerbated by the assassination of Cecil Poldech, who was associated with the emperor. This act united the opposition and led to open rebellion.

War of the whole empire

The conflict affected most of the territory of the empire and divided it into two blocs. The insurgents led by Jan Youlender received the support of several important families. Despite the Emperor's several victories, including the Clash of the Five Clans, his position gradually deteriorated due to the depletion of resources.

In the final phase of the war, Valendor II lost. control of key areas and its military weakened by the long conflict. He committed suicide before his final defeat, ending the reign of House Ariers. Subsequently, a new Imperial Diet was convened.
